Find the right knee prosthesis with the connectgo.pro app<\/h2><\/h2><\/div>

High precision is required if you want to customize a mechatronic knee prosthesis for the user. A complex process that was previously carried out by orthopaedic technicians using a laptop or desktop application.<\/p>\n

Orthopaedic technicians analyze the user’s movement behavior step by step in order to be able to adjust the prosthesis correctly and individually. They usually use different applications for this. But now it is possible to adjust the knee prosthesis using an app – with an ideal user experience and a high degree of accuracy of fit.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Combined in the connectgo.pro app: usability and efficiency<\/h3><\/h3><\/div>

Together with BAYOOMED, Ottobock has optimized this often time-consuming and complex prosthesis fitting process in the connectgo.pro app. This means that all Ottobock knee prostheses can soon be conveniently adjusted using a smartphone or tablet – and with just one application.<\/p>\n

“With the new app, orthopaedic technicians are much more flexible when adjusting knee prostheses than with the previous applications for laptops,” says Florian Mayer, Project Manager at BAYOOMED. “This allows them to make adjustments to the app quickly and easily in close collaboration with the prosthesis wearer.”<\/p>\n

In order to be able to develop the connectgo.pro app in this innovative form, a lot of practical experience was incorporated into the project, says Florian Mayer.<\/p>\n<\/div>

What other advantages does the connectgo.pro app offer? As the app will support all Ottobock knee prostheses in the future, prosthetists will only need to master one system for each prosthesis. In addition, updates are offered more quickly, as all maintenance and updates to be carried out only affect one system.<\/p>\n

What remains? With the connectgo.pro app, prosthetists still have the option of accessing online content and setting “MyModes” for special activities that users can customize using the Cockpit app.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

An enriching collaboration for Ottobock and BAYOOMED<\/h3><\/h3><\/div>

The connectgo.pro app has been available for Ottobock’s first knee prostheses since May 2024.
