OccluSense® from Bausch is considered a revolutionary product in the field of dentistry. This is because the chewing pressure ratios of patients recorded by means of a pressure sensor can be evaluated via a medical app.
Two- and three-dimensional graphics, including the masticatory force distribution with up to 150 images per second, enable a clear visualisation of the masticatory pressure conditions. The recorded data can be saved in the iPad app and retrieved or exported at any time.

With the idea of revolutionising the dental industry, André Bausch and an engineer friend developed the prototype of a digital OccluSense® handheld device in 2016.
Via WLAN, the recorded data was to be transmitted to an app – a forward-looking idea that made digitalisation in dentistry desirable even before the trend towards digital health applications (DiGA).
Thus, the app completes the revolutionary idea of OccluSense® until today. Thanks to continuous further developments and updates, users are always connected to digital progress.
Bausch’s development was recognised in 2017 when it was awarded the “Eckhard Franz Prize for Dental Innovation” and in 2019 when it received the “Cellerant Best of Class Technology Award” at the ADA/FDI Congress in San Francisco, U.S.A. Read more here.
